Welcome to Acre Heads Primary School

‘a place to nourish thinking minds’

CORONAVIRUS AND SCHOOLS CLOSURE INFORMATION

FOLLOWING THE PRIME MINISTERS ANNOUNCEMENT ON SUNDAY 10 MAY, SCHOOLS IN THE EAST RIDING WILL REMAIN CLOSED TO THE MAJORITY OF STUDENTS.

The Prime Minister outlined that some pupils may be able to return to school in the forthcoming weeks and months, but these details have not yet been confirmed and are conditional on the ‘R’ rate continuing to decline.

Acre Heads Primary will remain open for ‘Key Workers’ and vulnerable children that can not be safely cared for at home. We will continue to support our community by having available breakfast club (7:45 – 8:50) and TeaTime club (3:30 – 6:00). As these are difficult financial times, there will be no additional costs for children attending Breakfast or TeaTime club and all meals will be provided for free.

We aim to remain open during all holidays, if there is need to do so. However, there is no requirement for parents and carers to send children to school if you do not need or wish to do so. For further information on the school’s offer, please contact the Welcome Desk on 01482 308380 or click ‘Key Workers’ information.

Welcome to the Acre Heads family

On behalf of the pupils, staff and governors of Acre Heads Primary School, I am delighted to welcome you to our school website.

We are extremely proud of our school and the achievements of our pupils. Acre Heads has a strong reputation for academic, artistic and sporting success. Our school was graded ‘Good’ by Ofsted in our last inspection in 2018, and since then, results have continued to improve, and our school has continued to develop.

At Acre Heads, we aim to offer all of our children an excellent education that is full of challenge, interest and fun. In addition, each child is encouraged to build  their self-confidence, to develop resilience, independence and to take risks without fear of failure. This can be seen through the school’s core values:

BELIEF, DETERMINATION, RESILIENCE,  TEAMWORK

The pages of this website will give you a taste of life at Acre Heads Primary School. If you are thinking of sending your child to our school, we would welcome the opportunity to show you around so that you can meet the pupils and staff.

Acre Heads is a happy, exciting, purposeful place to work and learn.  We hope you agree!
