They were down in the dirt and in amongst the bugs.

They were fascinated to see insect eggs, scuttling woodlice, squirming worms and startled spiders.

They weren’t frightened, they weren’t squeamish and they weren’t in danger.

Children need to take risks within reason and they need to learn how to respect nature and enjoy the natural world.

These children helped Mrs R to make a five star bug hotel that will encourage insects to grow and reproduce and help keep our Nurture Reserve fertile and developing.
