Miss Michaela Lines is a Co-opted Governor with responsibility for SEN, PE and the Sports Premium. She is a member of the Personnel and Achievement Committees and is Chair of the Finance Committee.

She became a Governor in December 2015 because she thinks that Acre Heads is a fantastic school and she wanted to see if her experience would enhance the Governing body. She has worked in the Further Education sector for many years so she wanted to gain more experience within the schools’ sector.  She also clicked with Mrs R and the team the first time they met, with shared values and a passion for teaching and learning and she found that she wanted to be involved.

What she likes about Acre Heads is that she shares the same values; children first and a passion for teaching and learning that runs through the core of the school.

She is a busy person with lots of things to do. Firstly she is a mum to a wonderful little girl. Her other job is as a Director of Study Programmes at a Further Education College over the bridge in Lincolnshire.

Miss Lines went to Anlaby Primary School as a child and she distinctly remembers swimming in the outdoor pool in December. Thankfully our children find Haltemprice a little warmer for their lessons these days.

Not a lot of people know that Miss Lines is a fully qualified FIFA Grade 3 football referee. We think this is why she is so good at chairing Finance Committee meetings!
