Ms Britton has been an Associate Staff Governor since January 2014 and co-opted Governor since July 2017.  She became a Governor to become more involved and find out what school life is like behind the scenes. Ms Britton is responsible for the overseeing of Computing and Eco-Schools provision.

She has four wonderful (grown up) children and three amazing grandchildren. Not a lot of people know this but in past lives she has been a Secretary, a Shelf-filler, a Care Assistant and a Nursing Audit Assistant. She has also completed the Dublin Marathon.

She is a teacher in Year 5 and when asked what she likes about Acre Heads, her comment was “the children, the staff, the ethos – what’s not to like?!” Trying not to show her age, when she thinks about her own school days she likes to reminisce about one of her own English teachers, Mr Scott, who was lovely and gave her sixpence whenever she got all of her spellings right.  No wonder she’s such a good speller.
