Yr 3 pirate islands

Who would have thought that making a papier mache model could involve so many occupations?

Year 3 have been:

designers – drawing and designing the features on their island

builders – making their islands using glue, newspaper and cardboard

artists – adding detail to their models, x marks the spot!

cartographers – producing a map, key and symbols for their island

mathematicians – writing coordinates to exciting places such as Sharktooth Bay and Dead Man Swamp!

creative writers – writing a pirate story based around their island

travel agents – produce a persuasive brochure for pirates enticing them to visit their island – ‘free treasure chest with every ticket to Dragon’s Cave.’
